We are booking appointments for sight tests. We have a considerable backlog of people needing our services, therefore we are still triaging all requests for appointments, and will be prioritising those that need a sight test to address issues with their vision and their glasses. We have made some operational changes to comply with new guidelines and to ensure your safety.
The practice has been re-arranged to enable social distancing. Please be aware of others when you are in the practice. We are now more limited for space, so we ask that you attend with just one other person to assist you if you need.
All our equipment is cleaned on an ongoing basis, clinical staff will be wearing appropriate PPE, we are following strict hygiene protocols, and you will be required to wear a mask in the consulting room. There is a hand sanitzer for your convenience in the shop.
Some of our clinical procedures have been altered to ensure your safety, so may take a little longer than usual, and in order to keep face to face contact time to a minimum, we will be pre-screening to a greater extent and may ask more questions when you book your appointment.
In the practice, all of the frames on display have been cleaned, you are welcome to try frames on, but we ask that you place them in the trays supplied, for cleaning. We are also making alterations to our measuring and adjustment techniques to minimise personal contact.
You can still place orders for contact lenses, either by email or by phone, we can take payments over the phone and have them delivered to your door. We are also happy to supply glasses to other opticians prescriptions.
