Spectacle Lenses

Spectacle Lenses

Our trained staff are on hand to guide you through lens selection to help you find the most suitable spectacle lens for you. Sussex Eyecare are not tied to any particular manufacturer and can therefore draw on the whole of the world market to select the very best lenses in terms of performance and value for money.

Single Vision Lenses

Single vision lenses are designed for use at a fixed distance - either far distance (for driving or television for example), or for near viewing - either short distance for reading a book or general close tasks, or for intermediate viewing for a computer screen or sheet music.

Bifocal Lenses

These lenses offer clear vision at two distances (usually near and far) by virtue of a segment towards the bottom of the lens with a different power. The segment comes in various shapes and sizes, and whilst this particular style of lens is starting to be regarded as out of date, most types of this lens are still available.

Varifocal Lenses

Or Progressive Power Lenses to use their correct name - offer clear viewing at all distances. The power of the lens changes as you view through different areas of the lens, so by adjusting your head posture you are able to see both up close and far away, seamlessly adjusting the power of the lens.

Prescription Sunglasses

Most good quality sunglasses can be fitted with corrective lenses to your prescription for a small extra fee. We supply Prescription sunglasses from only £59.00 - this is the complete price for frames and lenses, with over 40 styles to choose from.
